Sector
Much of our work falls into four broad industry categories as they pertain to infrastructure development projects: Energy, Transportation, Oil and Gas, and Mining. Although infrastructure projects may fall in one category or another, large-scale power, transportation, and extraction projects cross sectors and often impact additional sectors such as Forestry, Agriculture and Water. Listed below are current projects by sector.

Transportation
Hobbs International has extensive experience in transport infrastructure projects, specifically in the areas of rail, light rail, new road construction, maritime, and transport economics and financing. We are expert in understanding the social, economic and environmental impacts related to intrusions created by transport infrastructure, especially when dealing with remote and rural communities.

Oil and Gas
Hobbs International understands the complex set of risks and obstacles associated with oil and gas exploration and infrastructure development. This industry sector has seen the introduction of increasingly demanding safety, risk and environmental legislation and safeguards in recent years. Moreover, the intrusions on indigenous and remote communities have led to a great deal of public scrutiny and local mobilization to obstruct projects.
Mining
Hobbs International recognizes the risks and widespread social, economic and environmental impacts associated with the whole spectrum of commodities, including base and precious metals, coal and lignite, ferrous metals, uranium, industrial minerals, and gemstones. Our integrated, balanced approach towards the prediction of immediate and future impacts allows us to provide effective mitigation, compensation and resolution strategies, and enables mining developers, governments and lenders to support projects with a high degree of confidence.
